| Domain Name Registrations
If you do not already own a domain name, Web Panache can register one for you.
Simply select "New Domain" on the order form, and complete the required fields.
Currently we offer the following extensions: .com, .net, org, .info. As an ISP, we are
able to obtain domain names at a lower cost than you might get as an individual buyer. We pass this savings on to you.
Domain Name Transfers
To transfer a domain name you already own to Web
Panache, you must update the DNS settings with your Registrar (i.e. VeriSign, register.com, etc,) Each
registrar has a slightly different process. Once your hosting account has been created, you will receive a "Welcome
Message" from Web Panache that provides the information you need to update the DNS settings. Web Panache
is available to assist you should you have any difficulties.
Non-US Domain Name Registrations
A "Non-US Domain" is a domain name acquired outside of the US
(e.g. ".fr" for France, or ".to" for Japan). Although Web Panache
supports non-US domains, we do not offer registration assistance. You must register the domain name with the
appropriate company within that country.
- Obtain the registration procedures and forms/templates from the company you are
registering through. This is not a required first step, however, we recommend you at least research the
process before ordering a Web Panache account.
- Complete our domain name order form requesting a NEW DOMAIN. In the "Domain Name"
field, be sure to enter the name with the non-us extension (e.g. myname.fr). This is how we recognize your order as
for a non-us domain name. Upon receipt of your order, we will create your account on our server and send you the
IP address. This allows you to publish immediately. You will also need this IP address to complete your domain name
registration forms.
- Complete and submit the necessary forms or templates provided by the domain name registration
company. Be sure to include the IP address that we provided and any other applicable information (e.g.
names and IP addresses of DNS servers).
