No rest for the weary...Q&B swing right back into action! Here's the schedule for the next two gigs:
1 September, 5-7 p.m., New York State Fair (Stage/Pepsi, International Pavilion)
9 September, 5-9 p.m., 6th Annual Guinness Irish Festival, Syracuse Clinton Square (Jameson Acoustic Stage)
Q&B blazed their way through a torrid set at the 2005 St. Pat's Summer Irish Festival (28 July). Special thanks to Tom Montague for the pix!
Some old Brawling Nobles reappeared, as it were, at a recent Q&B practice. Frank Jordan, lead guitarist '65-'68, joined roadie Dan Ross (Flyboy, Jr.) at Quigsy's garage session up on Howlett Hill (26 July). And during the gala reunion, word came about a newspaper interview the day before with Kevin (Meatball) Munnett - it seems the Syracuse Post Standard tapped the Nobles ex-bass player ('67-'68) for his provocative views on city life. Great to see the Meatball has become so civic-minded!

So where was JRM while Q&B were ripping it up on St. Paddy's Day? Well, the reclusive Q&B bassist lives quietly in Florida & spent Mid-March serving as Program Chair and web-guy for the Annual Meeting of the Florida Academy of Sciences. JRM also presented on seagrass hydroponics last week to a packed audience at the University of South Florida in Tampa, earning kudos & boffo reviews.
