Madame Shannon

Well, what can one say of one's self? My passion in life is writing. Those who know me often become correspondences as I not only gleam pleasure from writing words, but reading other's thoughts as well. Stationery and fine paper also have a special place in my heart. Although I am a "90s" kind of girl, working relentlessly and keeping up with technology, I am in my heart from another time where light was gleamed from candles and woman wore pretty ribbons in their hair. Fabrics and brightly colored threads bring home2[1].gif (21594 bytes)me a special sense of peace, so many nights I can be found curled up with a bit of embroidery working by the light of the computer.

Also, I seriously believe that we have but one life to live and that we create our lives by the decisions we make. Each day is special and should be shared. It is much to easy too lose awareness and closeness in today's society where everyone seems to be so rushed and impersonal. In fact, Christophe and I have chosen "quality of life" as our motto and often remind each other of the importance of making the most of today and making an effort to meet people and share ourselves. This is one reason I've printed so much of our lives on these pages in hopes that people with the same understanding might respond and instigate a discussion that may lead to something surprising and positive.  My other main hobby is learning French. Although I have a few French pen-pals, few are tolerant of my mini-vocabulary for long. Any volunteers?
