WILLIAM KANENGISER, GUITAR with BEULAH STRICKLER, HARPSICHORD August 6

William Kanengiser is recognized as one of America's most brilliant guitarists. He won first prize in the Concert Artists Guild Competition and in competitions in Toronto and Paris. The Los Angeles Times has praised him for his "dizzying execution" and "exceeding vitality and warmth". He appears frequently in solo recitals, in performance with major orchestras, and as a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

"The playing of Beulah Strickler, harpsichordist, has been described by Malcolm Hamilton as "giving a whole new meaning to the term 'virtuosity' ... it speaks of consummate musicianship and musicality."

Program compositions by Bach, Handel, Giuliani, Gottschalk, Scarlatti and others.

Los Angeles Guitar Quartet member, William Kanengiser, is joined by FFM Founder and Artistic Director, Beulah Strickler, in a recital concert of works for guitar and harpsichord.

Enjoy a refreshingly different summer afternoon of music in the unique ambience of the Hunt Library.

Ayke Agus, described by the Los Angeles Times as " a whiz-bang pianist that other pianists talk about with awe", is also a master of the violin. She is joined by Nick Ariondo, virtuoso accordionist and composer, and winner of several ASCAP awards for his compositions and arrangements.

The program will include solos and duos from the Baroque to Gershwin.

Adult tickets are priced at $15 each. Children's tickets (age 12 and under) ticket are $5 each. Advanced reservation payment guarantees seating.
