Edward and Florence in 1964

Edward Malachi O'Donnell was born in East Syracuse in 1892.  He graduated from Syracuse University College of Engineering in 1913.  He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in Texas during World War I.  After the war, Edward went to work for the Franklin Motor Company, eventually opening a dealership in Williamsport.  Florence Feeney was born in Syracuse in 1891.  She worked for Franklin, and  met Edward in 1918.  They were married in Syracuse in 1920.

Over the next 40 years, Edward developed a number of highly-successful business enterprises around Syracuse, including a Ford Motors dealership, an appliance distributorship, and several purchasing and financing companies.
